How does an Attached Pergola Attach to the wall?

Our attached Pergolas are attached to the wall in one of two common ways.

Your pergola will ship with brackets that attached directly to the wall or directly to the fascia of your home. The 2" by 6.5" rafters will then go on over the brackets (hiding them) and then screws are driven into the bracket from the outside surface of the rafter.

A second option is to attach a ledger or header first to the wall. Our clients have the choice of using a 2" by 6.5" rafter as the ledger or use a 3" by 8" header as the ledger. Just specify your preference for the look you are after.

All of our hex head screws are self tapping. Just line them up where you want them and drive them in with your power driver. They will drill through and then fasten to the bracket. They are also color matched to the color of your kit.
